3 Steps to the Meaning of Life
Whether you realize it or not, we are all searching for the meaning of life. You are driving down the road, and
in a panic you think: why am I here? Good question...if you never asked, you would be dying
without ever having lived. To begin to realize the meaning of life for yourself, start with these three steps:
1st Step: Reflecting on your past
You may think you do not need to work on your past, but it is necessary for healing. While not always easy, it is
critical to your growth. You may have been living with stress and grief all of your life, and it is time to be free.
Books and reflection can help you do this on your own, however you may benefit further using
some counseling. Finding the right person to help you may require a few attempts.
2: Find yourself
It can be difficult to find yourself when you've lived with many masks. You must be very aware in order to find out
yourself. Be aware of your preferences, and try to understand why you have them. If you have a strong emotional
reaction, try to figure out why. Think from the perspective of yourself as a child. Remember what it is that used
to excite you in the past. Many people have become lost trying to live in this world, but you cannot really live
until you find yourself.
Step 3: Where are you and where do you want to be?
Here is where the real work begins...creating the life you really want. It is not going to be easy. You might
find people resist you making yourself a priority. It is critical that you be
the real you, and that means doing what you really want to do. And having what you really want to have.
And being what you really want to be. Make what you imagine for yourself become real. Making these
changes now, even though it is uncomfortable, because there will never be a right time.
There are many perspectives on the meaning of life. Obviously, the most important aspect of life is meant
to be lived fully. It is not enough to just moved through the world in a trance. You cannot simply exist. You must be plugged into life so you
you can come to the end of it feeling you truly did live.
