How Effectively do Whitening Strips Work?

By Jerry Witten

Very few cosmetic products seem to do exactly as they say for a low price. I've used products like these on every part of my body, but nothing seems to work as well a whitening strips to make a smile bright.

These strips are great, but let's take a closer look at the advantages and disadvantages to start.

White strips need to be used correctly to work. Make sure they cover your teeth, and don't overlap on your gums too much. If they cover your gums, they can burn them.

Hydrogen Peroxide is the active ingredient in this product. It oxidizes the stains you have made on your teeth. Depending on the amount of the chemical your product has, it will determine the effectiveness on your teeth.

After using them, few people have trouble. Those who do have trouble either have gum issues or sensitivity in their teeth. This is something to keep in mind. There will be a little different feeling in your teeth (that means it is working), but anything that really hurts should make you stop.

Bleaching your teeth does have some limitations. These strips work the best on yellow stains, and you will be able to see results as soon as a week after trying your first one.

These strips also only cover the main teeth people see. This is not a big problem for most people, but if you have a big smile these strips might not give you enough coverage. A dentist can take care of the missing areas.

Since there are a ton of different varieties and strengths for white strips, the best thing to do is examine how much work your teeth need. Usually the younger you are, the less strength you need.

The great thing is, these will work for almost every type of person. If you are not satisfied after using one cycle, go ahead and do another cycle, Hopefully you find the best strips for you.
