So 10min later I was out of town and within 30min I was in one of my favourite spots down by the river with lots of wilding Pine Trees all around me. I must have spent 30min running around the rocks and through the bush trying to find the perfect one. I found it perched on the side of the cliff overlooking the river. So I cut it down, dragged it back to the car and cruised back home with the window down, sun shining and music pumping (yes folks its summer for Christmas down here in the Southern Hemisphere).
I had such a sense of accomplishment. I felt great. On the way home I was thinking about the whole thing and realised that if you added up the petrol cost plus the time I had put into it, the tree had cost me way more than the $20-30 I could have gotten it for. But it was worth it!
