Tattoo Supplies And More For Your Own Parlor

By Frederick Michaels McKinnon

Opening a parlor for tattooing is a great way to express yourself artistically. You will need many office, decorative and tattoo supplies well before your grand opening extravaganza.

Not only will you need kits, and inks for tattoos but things to furnish the areas all around as well. These should depict the over all style you want to give off.

Decorations for the waiting areas as well as comfortable seating for customers waiting and chairs for the tattoo areas themselves. Also needed are tattoo equipment, office furnishings and equipment, a computer and fax with copy machine, cash register and counters with cabinets for all the supplies to be held in style and convenience.

You will also need to check in with your county's local health department for the needed regulations on opening a tattoo studio. These regulations have to be followed and kept up to code or you will not be able to open your tattoo studio. You may also be visited by a health inspector prior to opening to ensure you have everything up to regulation standards.

When hiring new talent for your tattoo studio be sure to have contracts drawn up for them that outlines what things you as the business will provide to them and then what they are responsible for themselves.

Dedicate either the lobby or an entirely separate room for displaying your flash art. All your art and designs you are able to do should be displayed here and be comfortable for customers to wander around and check it all out easily,

Your tattoo supplies for starting out should consist of tattoo guns, inks, layouts and designs, ink cups and holders, flash, bandage material, antibacterial ointment, gloves, needles paper towels, soap and a variety of colored inks and specialty inks also for the more extravagant customers.
